This post is the sixth in a series of seven related to the next steps towards becoming a minimalist and simplify their lives based on the book by David Damrona: 7 Steps to a Simpler Life!
so far mainly theorized preparing himself for this moment. This is because the time has come when there is no longer on what to think and you start to act, using what you learned from previous parts. David's book at this point refers to the list, which should clean each room (and / or space), in your home.
Here is the list, supplemented by my comments:
Minimize this place!
- remove all of the places that minimize
- put back two items that are needed there
- count objects, and set back no more than 10% of them (in my opinion, these figures depend on how much we are messy place that minimizes. It is best put everything that we use daily and is a good place to hold them. Things that should be kept in a different place from the aesthetic or practical reasons, or not used daily, you need to find new accommodation. Things that are not used the last few months you have to find a new owner.)
- Now take one thing from those who have left now (most people have problems with the disposal of unwanted things)
- shows what is necessary uznałaś allegro or ebay -u
- take what is unnecessary or in need of friends and throw
- all other unnecessary things
This is the end of the list, but I have yet to comment on the whole. It often happens that we are not able to objectively evaluate whether we need a thing or not. If during the cleaning you have such doubts, get a large cardboard box, and insert the things that you think that even you may find useful in the future. Concluding the paper write on it the date of closure. Endures box for half a year or a year in the basement, attic or elsewhere, and then open it. If this year is not the stuff you needed from the board, (a if you need then you would be pulled out), then you can give them away, sell or discard. In carrying out this kind of exercise you should understand that man does not derive real joy from the same possession, but the use of our possessions.
Remember that the physical removal of living space is not everything. If you want to be a real minimalistką you have to live so as to prevent re-accumulation of clutter and unnecessary things. In addition, remember that everything you can to minimize it takes you a place, time and effort on things is really important. Do not limit Therefore only a thorough cleaning up the apartment or home, but make changes in other areas of your life. If you need advice on how to do it, write about it in the comments, I'll try to think about and help in future posts.
finish as usual tasks:
- take at least 30 minutes for each minimized place
- print (or rewrite) a list of the post and its use
- sell, give, or dispose of all unnecessary things (or insert the card, as it described)
