Step 6 to the simple life - start to act to minimize the stress


This post is the sixth in a series of seven related to the next steps towards becoming a minimalist and simplify their lives based on the book by David Damrona: 7 Steps to a Simpler Life!

If you enter in your life, some assumptions of minimalism, you'll have more time, but not always, this will involve a smaller amount of stress. Today I decided to share with you, in my opinion, the most important and most effective way to minimize the stress, which I based my own experience.
This method is very simple in its assumptions. The whole thing should be initiated to identify stressful situations. To give an example the story of yesterday. I planned the whole day to see the match between the representation of handball Polish and English. Sam practiced the sport in high school, so I like to cheer for our representatives. I did not know, which is scheduled to begin this hour of the show, so I went to the page Polish handball and therefore found desirable information. Unfortunately, that was wrong and when I sat watching television in my eyes appeared a picture of a movie. After checking the internet why do not broadcast it turned out that he is after the match. Got nervous and started to throw insults at the Polish compound moderators handball (I have to write the name in full when the first letters of the clusters can otherwise evocative acronym). Behaved stupidly, because I used a previously developed techniques for dealing with such situations. If I thought a moment and consider the situation doszedłbym to the conclusion that I am not able to watch the match because I can not go back in time, and that it was nothing serious had happened, that this match is not watched. Life goes on, after all, and the time that I spend on the game I use to write this post. When I realized, the stress is gone.
Stress Obviously every situation is different, however, as my method of minimizing the stress is based on thoughts and rational approach to stressful situations, it can be used in a wide range. To fully use it simply use the following guidelines:
  • underestimate the stress factors. If something is not very important, and you'll be stressed out that it ruined their mental health reason. You have to stop to proceed in this way! You can not change the weather, but you can dress up adequately to the one that prevails. You can not prevent traffic jams, but you can try to evade with a different way. Remember that you do not need to change the world to be less stressful at times just that little bit of change themselves.

This is not only used my way of dealing with stress, but it seems to me that the described technique brings maximum benefits with minimal effort.
