Maytag Performa Not Turning On

joy and pleasure - a polemic against a collector of experiences

My last post contained a thesis according to which life in harmony with the philosophy of minimalism is one in which the minimization has everything except love and joy. Unless you are self-explanatory concept of love, so much of joy is already a problem. I have no philological education, but I will try to explain what I mean.
Love is the main noun of the verb love and understanding that is a continuous act of love. joy comes from the verb rejoice and just beginning to feel the stairs, because the For many years the word is replaced in our language, the expression enjoy. Noun from enjoy probably joy. To all this we still present in the title pleasure that has no "ancestor" verbal. All of this can make one dizzy, so I decided to systematize the concept of joy in the context of minimalism as a response to the question of how to live.
Christianity, Buddhism and Judaism in a sense, recommend life filled with joy, in short, to be so live happily. What does this mean? Contrary to appearances, this is not much in common with the search for hedonistic pleasures. The problem of this kind of pleasure I mentioned already in one of the previous posts writing, that is not worth collecting the best subjective experiences. At at that post got a comment from someone of a different sentence, to which I said is true, but not exhausted the subject. Why, in my opinion, but do not seek pleasure? First and foremost, because after a while, so there is always excitement. "Exit". We are not able to maintain its own level of excitement for a long time which makes the cessation of a stimulus often feel a kind of hunger, feeling worse than before the sensation of pleasure. In presenting this graphically, we feel that we took a step forward and two steps back, and thus can not come to an end. Another problem is the need for ever new and stronger incentives, such for which in the end may not have enough scale. What then shall we do?
can not explicitly describe what life in joy, however, I can cite a popular metaphor. Sexual intercourse is without doubt a pleasure. Most animals like how people feel pleasure from sexual acts, but in a sense, we are unique. We can not be sad to say after a finite ratio. There is a condition, however, we must really love that person been living. If love is untrue or incomplete, we step forward to later depart from the joy.
By analogy to this metaphor, we can generalize that a joyful life is life in love. This in turn raises the question about the object of our affection. So what is love? This question everyone must answer the same and then deal with just that. Contrary to appearances, sometimes to determine the true object of our love is harder than it seems well, because from childhood we are taught to love objects, money, God in the sense of a dominant religion. In addition, often grown in our hatred for richer, for science and education, to people with different views, what more difficult to have looked deep into each other. But this is the subject of another article of. This probably includes enough material for reflection on this day.

How to easily achieve a state of deep relaxation.

Recently my thoughts on this blog were more theoretical than practical. Today I decided, however, that in order to maintain a better balance, I will describe a practical way to relax. They're probably wondering what weave? After all, everyone knows what it relaxes. Of course you're right, but not quite. Most people confuse relaxation with satisfaction or pleasure. Today, however, will be talking about the state of deep relaxation, which is a condition characterized by the most complete rest for the whole body and mind.
You ask why we talk of such a relaxation, since the majority of its functions can be achieved through normal, healthy sleep. Well, this is a dream for myself that consists of several stages which makes it only a short time is kept relaxed state. You may have noticed that during sleep, the eyes are moving under the eyelids, and sometimes other muscles also respond to tension. The deep relaxation has the advantage of a dream that a similar effect of relaxation combined with a feeling rested can be achieved faster and more controlled. Of course, I encourage you to not disregard the role of sleep, because our bodies need all of its phases to the correct functioning.
Speaking theoretical introduction we have had here, and my simple technique relaxation.
  • lie on your back (spine straight, head on a small pillow)
  • close your eyes and relax
  • imagine that your leg is so heavy that you can not pull up, it will help you to further relax its
  • muscle function, repeat for the second leg, all the while mindful of the enormous weight of the previous
  • repeat all
  • for hands in a similar manner relax the shoulders, neck and head up
  • relax facial muscles trying to "liquidate" all the facial expressions
  • relax your eyes, imagining that somehow they are taken deeper into your skull
  • let your mind thinks only of the fact that your body is so heavy that it was impossible to increase muscle strength
  • when thinking about breathing, stop doing it, let the breathing be natural, without undue speculation about him
  • hold on in this state for so long as arranged (usually me it is hard to endure several minutes)
After the session you should feel almost as relaxed as after a good massage. I use the same technique described before bedtime, which allows me better rest before the coming day. Sure you sometimes feel that you are sleepy in spite of 7 or 8 hours of healthy sleep. Defiantly tell you that you're probably an island. The problem lies elsewhere, you're not rested. I hope that the described technology will solve this problem and thus to achieve a state of readiness for the tasks awaiting you in the next day.
Maybe you have a better, and while still simple, way to deep relaxation? Please write about this in the commentary that we can all benefit from it. I also encourage you to share your thoughts and experiences concerning the described method.
If you want to read the post about a similar subject, showing a simple way of coping with stress, I invite here.

What Do You Do On The Motorcycle In Poptropica

Is minimalism is possible in a capitalist system?

As capitalism entered a trend of minimalism? Basically many ways. The vast majority of the minimalists adjusts its force to the realities of capitalism. Most do not manage to achieve a state of true freedom, which does not allow to rule your life objects. Better than nothing, especially since he is at the beginning of becoming just such a minimalist. It is possible that by systematic simplification of life would be easier for me to find in the capitalist world. But I dream of a life without the possibility of a To Do list, no phone, which always need to have with them and even without money. Is it even possible? History knows few such examples: the commune early Christians, gypsies camps, tribal populations, "the fourth world." As I have learned recently, with Paul leading blog commentary neominimalizm.pl , life without money is possible even today, which proved Heidemarie Schwermer.
the one hand, deplore the fact that minimalism is slowly becoming a faction of consumerism, on the other hand, I have no idea nieutopijną alternative. I do not hide, however, that disgusts me is that they carry the Minimalists achieve similar goals as the majority and still they are of an amazingly low moral. For many of minimalism is just a way to accumulate money on hedonistic escape from the shackles of time working. Sam, I catch myself on the fact that most dream of earning a sum of money giving the illusion of security, of buying a house somewhere on the sidelines, that there alone could deal with the writing of texts aimed at changing people by restoring to them the joy of life through literature and to foster a fantastic knowledge of minimalism. In conclusion I am an egoist, who first thought about themselves and their comforts, and only later about the rest of the world.
Modern Times does not let you do many things without sacrificing to work, you simply do not earn. But we know that these things are just whims, which indeed we have become rich? The philosophy of minimalism does not answer this question, we need to answer my (at the beginning I would recommend, for example, to determine the most important "sphere" of his life with this post ). Then we can be a minimalist, I do not see better alternatives out allowing the process to feel a little "being" in the capitalist world. Remember only that the true minimalist is to minimize the effect of everything but love and joy . It is a process very difficult, requiring many characterological change, but seeing the goal I think it's worth it. For now, however, is not throwing a goose chase, let's start with the simplification of life in the spirit of consumerism minimalist wing of balancing between the real minimalism and aggressive consumerism.

Schematic For Master Lock

Money makes the world - further evidence from real life

We all know the saying, which I put in the subject. Most of us, rich people can only see on television, newspapers or the Internet, and therefore we tend not to remember that the same people as us. They are no happier than us, and certainly not because of his wealth.
often causes problems even wealth. They begin to think about what they can lose, and thus only one step to the paranoia. Therefore the best way great thinkers do not become too attached to objects. only wealth, which is extremely difficult to deprive us of our survival - the elements that make life so hard to describe in words, because the other for everyone. Experiences but should not be collecting on the force. It is not about to experience subjectively the best parts, like a vacation in Hawaii, earning a Mount Everest or winning the Olympic gold medal. The aim should be the best experience of all the crumbs of life, the more of them that our lives fuller.
world today and its capitalist "religion" they feed us the image of happiness, however, passionately connected to the possession of certain items. What could be better than having a big house, new car, television? Having better items than friends - meet the media. For this noise from time to time, however, scrolls strange phenomenon. This may Bill Gates dealer will be millions or monks who belong to religious orders straight from the skyscrapers of big business.
final proof for the argument that money is not needed for happiness is an Austrian millionaire Rebeder Karl, whose history can be read here . Shortening, at age 47, he gave away his fortune (about 2.7 million pounds) to charity, sold the villa in the Alps and lived in an apartment living for 800 pounds a month. As if that was not enough even brazenly states that it is now much happier than the leading a thriving business, generating more and more profits.
Why am quoting this story? I am not yet fully aware of the minimalist and still have to remember that most items are unnecessary. If it was not intrusive advertising on many of them I'd never heard and did not notice their absence, and yes, sometimes it seems to me that I was their lack of happiness. I'd like to achieve such a state as the Austrian said. Maybe not yet today, because now I have to give away only a few tens of thousands of debt for the studio apartment and a few books about which I wrote in the previous post . Day after day, however, becoming easier to me to resist zewowi consumption, and these stories that I quoted in this post make me firmly believe that, properly understood minimalism is the only way of life in which I can live a happy life . To be minimalistką money and are not needed, therefore, of necessity, can not give happiness. That way we came back to Proverbs, the wisdom of which only remains for us to use. It is better after all to find meaning in the age of 30 than to wait up to 47 years of age.

Sample Of Permission Letter To Use Songs

Organize bookcases - give out books

Action ended, I managed to give away 11 of 19 books, including two games, so I'm sure it was worth it, despite all the hours spent in queues at the post office ... Today

give out a book from his bookcase (in accordance with an earlier promise ), and a few games from my collection. Free, but not entirely selflessly. How to get a book? There are several methods, here they are:
  • Everyone can choose 1 book from the list provided that they write a comment for this post. Note must include information about the selected title and the way of 'service'.
  • Everyone can choose any two items from the list on the condition that he would write a post on his blog with a link to this post and inform me of this in the commentary. The more people know about my share, the greater the chance that I can give away everything. Of course, the comment should include the titles of selected items.
Books can be picked up in Warsaw by appointment. It is also possible shipping the price of 8 gold for a gold or 9 for the two items . Initially I wanted to get involved in so cultivating ideas. "Bookcrossingu", but it was harder than I thought, so I chose this form. My offer is valid for 50 days, then land on the allegro items in price from a buck.
move to the merits or a list of books to donate:
  1. Insanity Captain von Ergen, Stephen Twardoch - a book similar to the movie "Apocalypse Now", other characters, different story, but the overall theme quite similar (at least from what I remember)
  2. put Black parchment , Rafal Debski - I can think of the word "sword" and "love" an adventure novel.
  3. put Call of Cthulhu , HP Lovecraft - classic horror, I mean personally liked
  4. placed third certificate , Daniel Gronmann - a pretty neat piece of fiction written
  5. Worse worlds, Cezary Michalski - I do not remember the exact book, but it seems to me that this is a belated manifesto against the previous regime in the form of several opowiadanek. If it had been issued before 1989 would have some meaning, and so it's just prose.
  6. 2.0 Allah, Mieszko Zagańczyk - great idea, and the greater part of the book very good performance. If you like science fiction and computers, see what may result from a combination of these two areas.
  7. Toys Devil , Anna Kańtoch - are the latest popular books on all sorts of detectives. This is a pretty good representative of this trend with the action embedded in the side of seasoned science fiction horror film.
  8. cast Something stronger , Rafal Ziemkiewicz - collected works Ziemkiewicz, certainly better than the columns.
  9. put Niegrzeszny Mag , Eugeniusz Debski - a book about what might result from playing RPGs, a little childish, but rather as a czytadło.
  10. Poland AMENDMENT Fantastic , 3 volumes, many authors - if you want to know that there was once a very strange trend in Polish fantasy is to find out. I personally have not managed to get up to two stories, but probably because I expected more "cosmic" climate.
  11. Blood Ties cast , Maja Lidia Kossakowska - light and pleasant to read, the stories are worked out, but not always force you to think. Books of this author is absorbed better than Harry Potter, I do not know why.
  12. How to prevent injuries in sports, athlete's health Self- - two very old books in the series of knowledge and health.
  13. put a black face Palmira , Vladimir Vasiliev - you know the movie "Night Patrol"? You know its book counterpart (at least one of the volumes).
  14. put Gallery Broken Feather , Feliks W. Kres - a funny book about how not to write fantastic books, including a handful of valuable advice for future writers.
  15. put eristic, a piece of litigation , Arthur Schopenhauer - a philosophical essay on the topic quite a life. Written in simple language, but do not expect that simply advise you on how to better "argue."
  16. Men , Fay Weldon and The Third Miracle , Richard Vetere - two typical, very short powieści na podróż pociągiem czy samolotem. Pozbywa się ich moja lepsza połowa.
  17. oddane Listy proroka , wybór i adaptacja Paulo Coelho oraz O Wigilii , zbiór opowiadań między innymi Jerzy Pilch, Antoni Libera, Joanna Szczepkowska - kolejne 2 pozycje z kobiecej biblioteczki.
  18. oddane Priestess of the white , Trudi Canavan - fantastyka o kobiecie, napisana przez kobietę. Książka w wersji angielskiej napisana dosyć prostym językiem i całkiem przyjemna w odbiorze, chociaż czuć kobiecą "rękę". Jest to pierwszy tom trilogy.
  19. Voice of the gods , Trudi Canavan - as above except that this is the third volume of the trilogy.
List of games (that are not books :-):
  1. Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 on CD from the CD-Action on non-genuine package
  2. put Saga Baldur's Gate - both parts plus Add
  3. Morrowind - rpg game from the third or first perspectives
  4. put Heroes of Might and Magic IV - gold edition or version of the additives
  5. Neverwinter Nights - Diamond Edition version with additions or
  6. Civilization III - Gold Edition version with additions or
  7. Siberia - Gold Edition excellent adventure (includes Part I and II)
At the end of a few films (this is not is a book):
  1. Apocalypse: return - Director's version of the famous hit
  2. eight miles - the movie with Eminem in the role of the novice rapper (autobiographical)
  3. Kevin Smith collection or 4 movies: Clerks (vendor ) Jay and Silent Bob , The Edge for Amy, Jersey Girl - some very stupid other quite interesting and wise in his own way.
  4. Terminator 2 - classic action movie, and probably the best film of the series of images Terminatorach.

Frostbite Swollen Fingers Treatment

Organize bookcases - a handful of tips

"I love books. Many people do have and did not find myself in bad company." - For most of his life so I thought. But now I know that the first sentence of this post is false, the true should sound a bit differently: "I love to read books." Guess guess out what implications this raises a tiny change?
Reading books is a great way to spend your time. What to do but read from tomiszczami? Most people collect them on the shelves to create their own bookshelves, I myself have only recently ceased this practice. You ask: why? Well, the book occupied my living space. There would be nothing wrong if I had it a lot, but it is not. In addition, the dust settles on them, which raises the need of cleaning, at least from time to time. I decided to give you some advice that I hope will allow me to minimize the bookcase.
  • do not need the books that you're going to read in the distant future. If you have books on the shelves that you would like to read, but never have time to do it, borrow it to someone, or sell it. Be honest with each other and honestly evaluate what is the likelihood that suddenly find the time to put down something for a long time.
  • If you feel uncomfortable about getting rid of books, because maybe one day you look to them, scan them and then dispose of the paper equivalents. After six months, with a clear conscience, you can delete files from disk.
  • Try not to keep too many books, and only the timely and important. Why hold an entire book for the two sentences contained herein, may be easier to take notes?
  • do not need the books that you read now and never again do not do that. Most of the so-called. fiction is read once and then takes place on the shelf. Is it really necessary?
  • Give, sell, borrow. Do not destroy books, nor do they dispose of trash. Just because you read it you do not mean that other people also have already done this.
At the end of yet another council. After all, buy the book. Not always a good idea to refuse contact with a phenomenal literature just because the book is still borrowed by someone else from the library, sometimes you need to buy it and help the author to be able to write anything yet.
This is the end of the post, but do not stray too far. Next post will contain a list of things in fact, most of the books that you can have for free. I do not want them thrown away, or sell the allegro, so if you can arrange a debit card in Warsaw, or want to pay package (about 8-9 gold for a registered letter, or even less economical for the letter), why not take advantage.

Seagrams 100 Pipers Scotch Lamp

Change minimalist approach! A simple exercise would be more language "to be" rather than "have".

I mentioned lately that I'm currently reading a book by Erich Fromm called "to have or be." The author regrets there on the evolution of language toward the increased use of the word "take" by the modern people and the delivery volume of verbs and replacing them with nouns. I decided to counteract this and came up with an exercise that anyone can do.
thing is very simple. To feel the essence of "being" you have to realize that being a kind of process, constantly flowing and changing in time river. How you can help yourself to the task? Very simply, follow the instructions :
  • Use as many verbs other than "have" . Instead: "I have a meeting" under rather "meet." The idea is to realize that we do not have a meeting, if anything, it has, in a sense, us through our time. Likewise, is it not pleasant to say, "work" like our grandparents, than: "I have a job?
  • Use the active voice instead of passive voice as often as possible, especially in their thoughts and think of yourself as a whole . Do not let this cup was raised by you or worse, by your hand. After all, it's not your hand reaches for her mug just doing it You and only you alone about it you decide.
Remember that life is not only a different literature, the form and content creation, where you do not have to take care of design work to adapt to the requirements of the reader. It is important to begin to renounce slavery to the objects that are imaginary, such as love, which is only an abstraction for the activities of love. You may not in fact possess love, but you truly love. Even if you think it's just gibberish, please think about this post, you can feel even a little bit more free in the modern consumer world.

33 Weeks Pregnant And Constant Sore Stomache

Step 7 to the simple life - do not give up

This post is the seventh in a series of seven related to the next steps towards becoming a minimalist and simplify their lives based on the book by David Damrona: 7 Steps to a Simpler Life!

Congratulations! If dobrnęłaś to this part of the course is not cheating, (ie, performing all tasks), then you can proudly call themselves minimalistką. Do not stay in place, however, minimize further until you reach your final version of minimalism. Do not fall in misery, however, remember that minimalism is not monastic asceticism.
change in lifestyle may be difficult, happens you certainly falls in your way, especially at its beginning. Ignore them, however, and then return to the correct path. For example, I recently bought a microphone for $ 800 (although, in the meantime sold the unused lenses for several years for a similar amount) or a new bag (no excuse). What can I do? Perhaps I'll find a home for the previous bag, because I do not need two similar things, and I will use a microphone. Also, remember that there is nothing wrong in the desire to possess things that you really need and will use it. A minimalist approach in this case is to minimize spending in such a way as to earn the desired object (or even better increase revenue, especially passive).
Try to notice the positive aspects minimalism. Enjoy your time less occupied by the urgent things, but not very important and expensive items, but a better look, not really needed. Think of minimalism as a lifestyle, which, in principle, yet it is. It's not your fault that the world today sees the minimalists as oddballs and eccentrics. Explain to those whom you love gives you a minimalist, and that was thanks to him you have more time for them, and die-hard fans will get their choice of life style and help in difficult moments. Likewise, treat your friends, you may not want to change your lifestyle, but certainly no longer treat your choice as a meaningless quirk. It may even admit that a total stranger is craving a very expensive handbag from Loui Vitton-ego-a (I do not know how to spell) than a simpler life.
It is time for the task of ending our adventure with David Damrona booklet, here they are:
  • tell your family about your adventure in minimalism, if they understand they will support you, and maybe even join you
  • remember that nothing ever goes exactly as it will plan. Do not worry about it, however, and enjoy that at least part of the plans are realized
  • or positive, treat their struggles with minimalism not as sacrifices, but to gain time and space is what's important in your life and enjoy it!
At the end of each add one more banal-sounding but very real text. Whatever happens do not give up!

If you want to read about the remaining steps, refer to "content"

Clearing The History On Direct Tv Dvr

Summary of the month - January 2010

I decided to post on the blog very short Summary consecutive months of my life, starting today. Frankly invited me to this friend, who put on his blog entry niemożliwenieistnieje the most successful month. I decided to let go of my little successes and failures of the first 31 days of the year, therefore, to work.

Successes:
  • scientific publication, which I am co-author, has been accepted for publication, as if I am only the third author, but it really made me happy everyday
  • indulged counterparts by at least 30 minutes, usually it was a posting on a blog, an exercise habit by writing a diary, writing down, but it also happened to design the logo for the contest
  • noticed a problem with comments on the blog and I fixed it (maybe not even until the end as I am imagining, but at least you can comment already) and got the first comment. Thank you very much and ask for more, because it is very positive for further inspire "writings"
Defeats:
  • I have more stuff than at the beginning of the year, actually at the moment is not so bad, but as I walk all items bought online, I'll have to think about how to find a place for them. Unfortunately, my balance has been shifted to the side of consumption, but in February I'm going to change that.
  • I was not able to practice every day, of course, justify the weather, but sit-ups or sit-ups can be doing without leaving your home.

Have or be? First impressions after contact with a book by Erich Fromm

browsing Internet resources I came across an interesting entry titled: "To have or be." Despite my aversion to philosophy, after the attempt read Sophie's World in my youth, I decided to read this very long work of Erich Fromm. Currently I'm reading a few pages of this position and I'll tell you frankly that my brain has been strongly stimulated to think about.
nutshell what Fromm writes, makes sense. Of course not agree with everything, but as the main objective was to force books to think for themselves, so it should be. The author noted that the so-called. Western progress leads to a chapter of our lives on the sphere sphere of work and wasted time. He also noted progressive the triumph of being in possession of most aspects of our lives. I am especially curious about Fromm's observation, quoted by the evolution of language toward the increased use of the word "take" by the modern people and the delivery volume of verbs and replacing them with nouns. So far, the book paints a grim picture of the world in which we live, often showing clearly some phenomena whose existence is running out for us in everyday life.
conclude, I wish only to express the hope that later in the book I find the answer to the question, which, how to prevent the triumph of possession. For now, Fromm suggests condescension of the religious systems, both east and west, after all, almost every major religion recommends extreme minimalism and ridding ourselves of all goods in order to fully "be." Extreme minimalism, this might not be what appeals to me most, but the most modest houses in the circle of my interests.
I think this is not the last post about "having or being," so if the topic you are interested, please come back for some time, I have an idea for a post inspired by beginning in the left, corner of the book.
