Ultrasonic Mouse Repellent Side Effects

Reporters Without fiction - Agnes Wójcińska

remember exactly when I got to book -reports - it was December 2006 when I read "Gottland" Szczygieł, and I liked it and so it began. Then came the "head circumference" Nowak (my favorite), "Bookseller of Kabul" Seierstad, "Good Women of China" Xinran, and a dozen other titles. Maybe not all the reports in the strict sense of the word, but it certainly can be classified as non-fiction category. Definitely the most interesting seem to me to Black Publishing publications, and judging by its plans publishing a series of "Feature" will be developed, and it rapidly.

By nature, I am also interested in a collection of interviews with Polish reporters. Initially I was afraid that after a few conversations it gets boring and predictable, but fortunately it was different. Each of the 17 interviewees is able to surprise, to show the profession of a reporter in a different light than others. A difference in approach to work are sometimes diametric. For example, according to Hugo-Bader journalism is vital to society, whereas for the Smolensk is a profession like any other. Some believe that the form of the article is not very significant (Szejnert), others attach great importance to it (Goldfinch), some like the writing process (Szablowski), for others it is a veritable Passion (Smolenskaya). A very interesting aspect is to go beyond the role of a journalist: if Tochman believes that where possible we help the heroes of reportage, it Jagielski is strongly opposed to this. I read with mixed feelings about the tricks that had the potential to break the resistance of the caller (Petkovic). Apparently they are not unethical tricks, but a slight sense of uneasiness remains.

Reflecting the popularity of books are also reports among Polish readers, who - referring such an impression - is gradually increasing. Margaret Szejnert explains this as follows: Life is incredibly interesting, more interesting than fiction. And probably more difficult. The world is rushing like a madman. We have to somehow deal with it, we want to understand the situation in which we find ourselves. Perhaps a more non-fiction helps us cope with everyday life than non-fiction. [p. 26] I personally share the opinion that true stories are more interesting than fictional, but would help in my life - I am not sure. In my case it certainly opens your eyes to certain phenomena and wyczulają other problems, he says Morawska: The world is a lack of sharing experiences, people are waiting for an opportunity, they want to be heard [p. 206]. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think the "Reporters Without fiction" not only interesting for fans of reportage - it's just a very interesting book. Each interview is preceded by a fragment of the text of the reporter, Large Format GW readers, many of them read for sure already. The reading, however, carries a certain danger: it may cause sudden and urgent need to read at least some of the other books mentioned by reporters. Sam has already counted about six such;)
